Hi  I'm Shantell, 
I became a support worker because I have a genuine passion for helping people. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone's face light up when they realise they can do something they never thought possible, or simply knowing they're not alone because someone is there to support them.
I started Smooth Stride Support because I saw too many people receiving unreliable care where the focus was simply delivering a basic service instead of providing exceptional, person-centred support. I knew I could make a real difference by creating a service built on compassion, reliability and genuine care.
To me, quality support means leaving every participant knowing they are happy with the service they received, feeling comfortable, respected and confident that their needs have been met. It means supporting people to maintain their independence and dignity while empowering them to live life on their own terms.
